Is MICAS Worth the Hype?

If you’ve been strolling through social media lately, then you’ve most likely seen a clothing advertisement for MICAS.
MICAS is an emerging fashion brand known for its stylish and affordable clothing. I bought 3 MICAS dresses, plus some accessories . Here’s my honest and unbiased review of the items and the brand.

1. The Denim Strapless Slit Midi Dress

When I saw this dress online, I fell in love with it right away. Its silhouette was classic, and the best part….. its unique strapless neckline featured a never before seen cutout detail.
This denim dress has no stretch. So getting the right size was crucial. I highly recommend using the sizing chart to get the right fit. I ordered a size L to fit the largest part of my body

Final thoughts: I liked that this dress was gray. It stands out amongst the hundreds of thousands of blue denim dresses out there.
Although this dress fitted like a glove around the hip area, it was slightly too big around the chest area. This dress is not exactly pear shaped girl friendly. The top part will definitely have to be taken in. Nevertheless, this dress remains a showstopper piece

2. The V neck denim slip midi dress.

Now this one is definitely a power dress. Absolutely no stretch, so be mindful if you decide to buy.
I ordered a size down, because there weren’t any left in my size…. Bad idea!!! It was definitely tight. Stick to the measurements on the size chart.
This dress comes in a powder blue color, and boasts silver foil detailing. This dress is absolutely gorgeous, and even more so in person.

Final thoughts: Absolutely beautiful, if you can get it in your size.
Just like for the previous dress, it is not completely pear shaped girl friendly. The top part was perfect, while the bottom too tight.

Because of its gold foiling details, this dress is better suited worn with silver or denim accessories.

3. The Ombre Layer Ruffle Midi Dress

This dress blew me away. It is an affordable dupe for the Casablanca ombré dress worn by the very talented, Nigerian singer-songwriter, Ayra Star.
This dress was by far my favorite dress out of the 3!
The neckline is adjustable, and the colors are very « now ». I definitely felt like a superstar wearing this dress.

Final thoughts : i highly recommend this one! This dress is versatile and flattering on all silhouettes. You can easily go from a lunch date to a date night with this. All it takes is the right accessories.

4. Trendy Triangle Hoop Earrings

Now these earrings did not come to play. They came, they slayed, they ate and left no crumbs…… They were simple, but not quite. They stood out from the regular round hoops. But yet, they did not steal the attention away from the dresses. They did what they needed to do.
They were stylish but not heavy. I liked them so much…. I got 2 paires. I’ve bought a pair in silver and, a pair in gold.
