No worries, The Palmer’s Olive Oil Formula Shine Therapy line was the featured brand of August 2022 Curlbox. There are 7 products featured in this line. I’ve tried all of these products and here’s a detailed review of how this products work on type 4 hair and how to use them best.
1. Palmer’s Olive Oil Formula, Shine Therapy Shampoo
This Shampoo had a thick creamy consistency. Nice soft olive oil perfumed fragrance. This consistency is perfect for type 4 hair and the product provided a rich lather. This shampoo claims to be sulfate free, color safe and removes build up. My hair felt clean but definitely not stripped.
I recommend this product for type 4 hair.
All the products in this line had the same scent, with the exception of the hair grease. Their fragrance is like a nice sweet olive oil perfumed scent. The fragrance, although not very strong will linger in your hair.
2. Palmer’s Olive Oil Formula Shine Therapy Conditioner
This conditionner is rich and creamy, and coats every strand of hair. There’s ample amount of slip and detangling becomes easy. This will leave your hair soft and hydrated.
Tip: Because of it’s rich consistency, it can also double as deep conditioning treatment.
I also recommend this conditionner.
3. Palmer’s Olive Oil Formula Shine Therapy Deep Conditioner
This product was thinner than the conditionner. It’s consistency was more like a lotion. It came in a small pack.
4. Palmer’s Olive Oil Formula Shine Therapy Leave-In Conditioner
If you like light leave-in conditioners, this this one is for you. For type 4 hair, this one may be a bit too light, but with its spray bottle, it works great as a hair refresher.
5. Palmer’s Olive Oil Formula Shine Therapy Hair and Scalp oil
This oil had a thin, runny, none greasy consistency. For type 4 hair, I also recommend using as a refresher to moisturize hair after combing
6. Palmer’s Olive Oil Formula Shine Therapy Hair and Scalp Serum
Although you may have to pump several times to get the products into the dropper because of it’s thick lotion consistency, this Serum will most likely be a type 4 hair beauty’s favorite. Even though it’s intended for the scalp, it also leaves hair soft, and manageable.

7. Palmer’s Olive Oil Formula Shine Therapy Gro Therapy
A petrolatum based hair grease. This one softens hair and locks in moisture.
If you don’t mind using petrolatum, then you’ll like this one. My hair remained moisturized for several days after using this complet line.
A good grease to have if you don’t mind using patrolatum.
